Loved the location and front porch. My only negative is the mattress was a bit flat and too firm.
Attention to Detail
We stayed in the Passiflora suite for a 1 night stay in Westcliffe. I was a little concerned due to the fact there was no one greeting us but the accomodations were excellent! Actually the whole atmosphere was easy and relaxed. This Lodge pays attention to detail for all your needs. The suite was spacious the bath spacious and exceptionally clean. If you can get a reservation here I highly recommend the views are breathtaking and the night sky just gorgeous. The only thing I would suggest is a bit more lights outside lining the driveway.
We stayed in the Passiflora Suite in July for two nights. The suite is very large, as is the bathroom. The owners have thought of nearly everything you might need during a visit. There are extra blankets, and snacks are available in the room. Towels are changed every 3 or 4 days, so if you prefer a fresh towel daily, bring some extras. The housekeeping staff does an amazing job. We stayed in two separate rooms during our week's stay, and both were cleaner than just about any place we've ever stayed. The shower/bath is supplied with boutique-style shampoo, conditioner, and bath gel that smell great. There is a large living area on the first floor which is ideal for gatherings like reunions, etc. The lodge is very close to town, but far enough away that you get beautiful views of the mountains to the west. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch both evenings and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in Westcliffe.
We stayed one night in the Passiflora Suite at the Lamp Post Lodge and enjoyed the unit very much. We stayed for the star gazing but falling snow had other plans for us. We might return some day and would book the same room.
We stayed in the Passiflora Suite for 2 nights during our stay in Westcliffe. We loved that it was just outside of town since it gave us the unobstructed view of the mountains and we could sit outside at night to see the stars! The room was very clean and spacious. It wasn't your typical B&B (no staff there and no breakfast) but it fit the bill for what we needed and we enjoyed our stay! We will definitely be back again to see the stars and the Milky Way!
We stayed in this room overnight for our 36th anniversary. Very roomy and comfortable, and we spent a lot of time just taking photos out the window--gorgeous view of the Sangre de Christo mountains!
Wish we could have stayed longer!
Three of us stayed in the suite which was large, clean and comfy. Our hosts were charming and made us feel welcome. I highly recommend the Lodge and the area has endless options for exploring. Thank you to our hosts!
